What's the difference between dye sublimation and screen printing on lanyards?

Dye sublimation uses digital technology to infuse ink directly into the fabric, allowing for unlimited colors and gradients at no extra cost. Screen printing sits on top of the fabric and is limited to simple designs with just a few solid colors.

How many colors can I have on a full-color sublimation lanyard?

With dye sublimation, you have zero color limits. Gradients, shadows, photographic artwork — as many colors as you want, all in one digital pass.

What is the difference between rPET and standard sublimation lanyards?

Both are printed full-color using sublimation and feel very similar to wear. The key difference is the material: rPET lanyards are made from recycled PET bottles using Topgreen® yarn, certified under the Global Recycle Standard (GRS). rPET also has a slightly glossier finish than standard polyester — that's a feature of the material, not a defect.

Are these lanyards comfortable for all-day wear at conferences?

Yes. Since the ink is inside the fabric rather than on top of it, the lanyard feels smooth and won't scratch or itch even after a long day at a conference or trade show.

Will the print on a sublimation lanyard fade or peel over time?

The print is extremely durable. Because the ink is literally part of the fabric, it won't crack or peel like a surface print. These lanyards can even be washed and the colors stay vibrant.

What widths are available for custom rPET lanyards?

Custom rPET lanyards come in three widths: 5/8", 3/4", and 1". The 3/4" is our most popular for conferences and events. Pricing varies by width — see the price table above.
